What a torment - these lovers to educate

How can a teacher mix science and art in the classroom?
Several years ago, I started an experimental program in this area for school teachers. Within its framework, we invited artists who helped teachers develop tools for mastering topics that were not included in the curriculum. I must say that, first, this can and should be done in the field of biology, especially when it comes to revolutionary technologies that are still difficult to explain, for example, the CRISPR-Cas genome editing system. To explain how it works, artists create DIY tools. They can be used at home or in the classroom to recreate experiments that are commonly done in a laboratory. Such initiatives make it possible to truly democratize science. Children learn to extract DNA using pineapple or papaya, a Petri dish, kitchen utensils, and a few other items. It's simple but insanely addicting.

Are there already educational programs in which such things are done on a regular basis?
First, in this case we are talking about science museums. I would also cite as an example a bio-community "do it yourself" - its members are also called biohackers. There are such people all over the world, and their credo is to "do science" outside of science. They create online and offline markets around the world, which allow other people to get acquainted with the industry, you can order homework in the essay help. Although their activities are mostly related to biology, the do-it-yourself movement is gradually taking over other scientific fields. So far, such training has not been formalized, but interest in it is gradually emerging at the state level.

In addition, there is the STEM movement, whose name stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics - "Natural sciences, information technology, engineering, mathematics." Its representatives also often use art in their work.

Do you have the top 3 professions of the future?
I think the main profession of the future is a teacher. If you want to change the world, this is here. We are constantly in need of new skills. This will continue to be so. The second most important profession, in my opinion, is an artist, but in the broadest sense of the word. It must be a critical person capable of working at the intersection of disciplines. And finally, the third speciality is a social worker who helps people integrate into society and solves social problems such as improperly organized labour (essentially slavery) and forced migration.

What skills do you need to acquire now in order not to be left behind in the future?
Technology is developing incredibly fast, and we no longer have control over what happens to our data on the Internet and in politics. But we cannot get out of this scheme either - it is impossible to abandon technology in the high-tech world. This is why I think the most important skill of the future is the ability to take technology with a grain of salt. Only a critical approach and the ability to resist circumstances, and not to be submissive, can ensure success.
